Dry Riesling from Around the World - June 20, 2012 at 7:30 pm

{Our tasting calendar will be on a brief hiatus in May and June during our annual staff wine travels – we’ll be back in France, visiting some of the finest estates in Burgundy and Provence.  This evening, 20 June, we recommence our regular calendar.  Thank you for understanding!}

On the eve of the 5th annual ‘Summer of Riesling’, in partnership with 200+ restaurants around the U.S., spearheaded by Terroir NYC, we’re showcasing a mindblowing collection of dry Rieslings from around the world (we’re aiming for 40+!) from Germany, Austria, Alsace, America, New Zealand, Australia and beyond!!   Schnitzel, brats, pretzels & more will also be served.  This is THE tasting to attend if:  1) you’ve decided that Riesling is ONLY sweet, 2) you love life, 3) your palate needs a refreshing boost (whose doesn’t?), or 4) you’re wildly infatuated with the greatest white grape on the planet.   $40.

Provence: Rose & Beyond - June 29, 2012 at 7:00 pm

Tonight, fresh from an intimate, in-depth food and wine tour of Provence (late May 2012), we’ll be presenting a host of the region’s best wines:  around 10 very different styles of the new rosé vintage (Provence’s speciality), along with around a dozen spectacular, lesser-known wines from the area; red, white, and sweet.  Appetizer-portioned local cuisine will also be available for pairing, and we’ll spin some regional Provencal tunes.   This will be one of the year’s most jovial tastings – let’s hope it’s warm!!   $40.
